About Front Door
Is this a State of Washington website?
No. Front Door is an independent service. It is not run by the State of Washington, WaTech, or any state agency. It shows how residents could find help, apply, and keep track across agencies in one place. Pages marked as an example door show what a city or county door could look like.
Who can see my information?
You can. When you apply, the agency you choose sees the answers and documents its program asks for, and only after you agree. Sensitive numbers are locked and shown with most digits hidden. Your vault lists every time your information was used.
Does immigration enforcement see it?
No. Front Door does not share information with immigration enforcement. If we ever get a legal demand, we will challenge it where we can and tell you unless the law forbids it. Questions about immigration status are always optional. For free, private advice before you apply, call the Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network at 1-844-724-3737.
What does it cost?
Nothing. Front Door is free for residents. You never have to pay to apply for a public program.
How does it relate to my WA.gov account?
They are separate. WA.gov is the state's site for finding services and signing in to state accounts. Front Door is built to work alongside it. Today you sign in to Front Door with your email. In a state pilot, you could use your WA.gov account instead.
What if an answer is wrong?
The agency still decides, so you can always apply. Program rules show where they came from, and each place in Help nearby shows when it was last checked. Every listing has a way to report a problem.
Who decides if I qualify?
The agency that runs the program. Front Door gives a quick check, not a decision. It says “Likely eligible” only when it could check every rule, and it tells you what it could not check.
